Al-Shahat, the Egyptian Al-Ahly player, was imprisoned for insulting the Moroccan Al-Sheibi

Today, Thursday, the Nasr City Misdemeanor Court ruled to punish Hussein El-Shahat, the right winger of the Egyptian Al-Ahly first football team, with one-year suspended imprisonment and compensation of 100,000 pounds (about two thousand US dollars), and deprive him of participating in any sports club for a period of 5 years in the incident. He was accused of assaulting Peramither Club player Mohamed El-Shaibi, a Moroccan national, during the match between their two teams at the Air Defense Stadium last year.

The prosecution charged Al-Ahly player Hussein Al-Shahat with beating, insulting, slandering, insulting and intimidating, in addition to threatening physical harm, after publishing videos that included the incident of Hussein Al-Shahat slapping Al-Shaibi during the two teams’ match.

The New Cairo Prosecution Office released the player, Hussein Al-Shahat, the Al-Ahly club player, on a financial guarantee of 10,000 pounds (more than 200 US dollars) from the prosecution office, in accusing him of insulting and beating Mohamed El-Shahat, the Pyramids club player, during the match that brought him together with Al-Ahly in July of the year.
