Tunisian Ons Jabeur, ranked ninth in the world, continued her strong run by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the French Open Tennis Championship (Roland Garros), today, Sunday.
Anas defeated Danish Clara Tawson 6-4, 6-4, advancing to face American Coco Gauff, ranked third in the world.
Gauff, the third seed in the tournament, booked her place in the quarter-finals of the competition, by defeating Italian Elisabetta Cocciarito with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
As for Ons Jabeur, she lost only one set in her journey to the quarter-finals at Roland Garros, as she surpassed American Sachia Vickery, Colombian Maria Osorio, and Canadian Laila Fernandez in the previous rounds.
The Tunisian player qualified for the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam tournaments for the seventh time in her career.
